Project Name: McCain Hall Renovations
Location: MS State University
Architect: Cooke Douglass Farr Lemons

McCain Hall has served as the flagship building for the Mississippi State University School of Engineering since 1909. The original building, built with the aid of faculty and students, was expanded and renovated in 1921.

The 2002 renovation completely renovated the floor plan, electrical and mechanical systems. A new roof structure was added to match the profile of adjacent buildings. All exterior windows were replicated and the exterior masonry preserved to satisfy the requirements of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. A three-story addition was added on the rear to accommodate restrooms on each floor and an elevator. The 70,000 SF interior was remodeled to meet the 21st century demands of a nationally acclaimed engineering school as well as showcase the College of Engineering.
