Project Name: Mississippi School of the Arts

In April, 1999, a bill was signed into law to establish Mississippi’s first state School of the Arts on the former Whitworth College Campus in Brookhaven. It opened in August, 2004.

The school enables students to study dance, music, theatre, visual arts and creative writing at the junior and senior high school level. Clark Construction built the 8 story dormitory and accompanying support facilities, including dining, kitchen and library. This was a high profile project for the State of Mississippi.
